In Germany alone, there are employees from 94 different countries. Diversity and differences are commonplace for us — a natural part of our work, and an enduring foundation of our success. The people who work for Bertelsmann are as different and diverse as the markets in which Bertelsmann does business. At home in the world

This diversity also applies to our customers, who use our company’s media, products and services. The local orientation of our businesses, with local managing directors bearing full entrepreneurial responsibility for their companies, is an important element in living up to this diversity. This leads to the creation of media products in completely different forms and with completely different content in the many hundreds of Bertelsmann companies around the world. They are driven by what our customers in a given place wish to read, hear or learn. Out of respect for traditions and cultural values, our content reflects a diversity of viewpoints and opinions.
